Because of Gandhi’s life dedication to his unwavering belief in truth and love, he was able to accomplish a lot for his country and the future. He improved the lives of thousands of Indians living in poverty or unpleasant conditions due to the British rule. One of his greatest achievements was helping to secure independence for India. His work in social reform transformed the views people had about social structure. Besides changing lives of that time, Gandhi was setting a prime example for future generations. He was one of the first people to practice and preach civil disobedience and nonviolence. He set an example of a new way to protest and fight against unjustness. His life would inspire more people and activists to come, such as Martin Luther King Jr. Gandhi became a symbol of freedom and peace not only for his country, but for the whole world. His legacy continues to inspire many today to live their lives with truth, love, and service.
